CHAPTER 23

Prithvi stepped out of the room, Tara's words echoing in his mind like a haunting refrain. The weight of her accusation bore down on him, each syllable a dagger piercing his heart.

He struggled to maintain his composure, to suppress the flood of emotions threatening to overwhelm him.

His throat constricted with the effort of holding back the tears that threatened to spill over. He leaned heavily against the nearby pillar, his body trembling with the weight of his anguish.

Every fiber of his being ached with the pain of Tara's betrayal, the depth of her accusation cutting him to the core.

In that moment of vulnerability, Prithvi felt utterly alone, the weight of his burden crushing him beneath its suffocating embrace.

He closed his eyes, willing himself to find the strength to endure, to face the harsh reality that now lay before him. But deep down, he knew that the wounds inflicted by Tara's words would not easily heal, leaving him adrift in a sea of doubt and despair.

Prithvi stood on the terrace, the cool night air enveloping him as he gazed up at the moon, its soft glow casting a tranquil light over the surroundings.

But amidst the serenity of the night, his mind was plagued by memories of the past, haunting echoes of a time he wished he could forget.

He closed his eyes, trying to shut out the memories that threatened to overwhelm him. Yet, like specters emerging from the darkness, they persisted, relentless in their pursuit of his peace.

It was a moment etched in his mind, a memory he couldn't shake no matter how hard he tried. The pain of it cut deep, a wound that refused to heal even after all these years.

With a heavy heart, Prithvi leaned against the railing, his body weighed down by the burden of his past.

In the stillness of the night, he allowed himself to remember, to confront the ghosts that haunted him, hoping that somehow, by facing them head-on, he could find the closure he so desperately sought.

As tears welled in his eyes, Prithvi gazed up at the moon, its soft glow offering little solace in the darkness of the night.

The weight of Tara's accusation hung heavy in his mind, echoing like a haunting refrain.

"Because you are a murderer."

The words reverberated through his thoughts, each syllable like a dagger to his heart. He couldn't shake the feeling of guilt that gnawed at him, knowing that he had failed to protect those he loved.

The memory of Tara's terrified face flashed before his eyes, her trust shattered by the accusation against him.

Prithvi's chest tightened with anguish as he grappled with the implications of Tara's words. He felt like a prisoner in his own mind, trapped by the shadows of his past and the uncertainty of his future.

Tears blurring his vision as he struggled to comprehend the gravity of Tara's accusation. He felt as though a chasm had opened up beneath him, threatening to swallow him whole.

In that moment, he longed to reach out to her, to plead for understanding, but he knew deep down that the damage had been done.

As the tears continued to fall, Prithvi's mind raced with unanswered questions, his heart heavy with sorrow and regret.

With a heavy sigh, Prithvi turned away from the moon, in the darkness of the night, he found no answers, only the echoing silence of his own shattered heart.

As the new day starts Padma reluctantly prepared to embark on her pilgrimage journey, Kusum's words of caution cut through the tension in the air.

"Sambhal ke jayega maaji," Kusum said to Padma, her tone tinged with concern.

( Go carefully Maaji)

Prithvi stood nearby, his expression stony. The family had gathered out of genuine concern for Padma's well-being, their farewells carrying a tone of genuine sentiment amidst the strained dynamics within the household.

"Paucheke khabar bejeyega ka Maa," Deepak added, his voice laced with reassurance as he addressed Padma.

( Send us news onces you arrive, Maa)

With a forced smile, Padma climbed into the car, her eyes betraying the reluctance she felt about leaving.

As the car disappeared from view, leaving behind a cloud of dust, Prithvi remained rooted to the spot, his gaze fixed on the vanishing silhouette of the car.

With Padma's departure marking the beginning of Prithvi's departure to America soon.
